Counting points on Mother’s Day

My entire family was invited for dinner to celebrate Mother’s Day and my daughter’s birthday. I spent a huge part of the weekend planning and shopping for the meal – poached salmon, roasted potatoes, cold asparagus, salad, shrimp cocktail, cheese and crackers, birthday cake and a fruit salad. As long as I didn’t scarf down the cheese and crackers and just had a fork full of birthday cake I’d be fine. The foods were all safe and legal in Weight Watcher’s terms. I think my family really appreciated the lighter fare all around. If you are someone who strives to stay safe at parties and celebrations, who strives not to over do it, pr if you’re on a diet…. What are some of the things you have done at parties to keep yourself in check? In situations when you were the hostess or a guest, what did you do that worked or didn’t work?
